Something I started...

Its just the lead sequence so far, tho I guess that's a departure from my normal methods - I usually don't get this far in a lot of my projects LOL.. at least now I can work backwards!

Mixdown is okay... needs to be smoother, tho I DO have some mastering stuff on here to beef it up a little.

Just 2 basses,, a hi hat, clap, a chord-lead, pads, and an accent melody.. and kick. Will start to add some more details to it soon

Hey mate,

I'm using all software. Actually that's all one synth..... Sylenth. Ableton Live 8.1.1 is my sequencer. Vengeance CLub Essentials 3 for the hat, kick and clap. Ozone on the mastering tip!

i use sylenth1 i really like it as well as virus ti snow.... good little combo...

I think 'thin' can be attributed to the tone of a sound rather than the mastering though? I find if something sounds thin, I'll go through and beef up the mids.

I did this last night in headphones, and listening this morning I can hear heaps of stuff that needs to be changed, as mine sounds 'thin' LOLs!

i like it so far, and as you said, your going to "un-thin" it, so im sure the final product will sound splendid....

Just uploaded a fresh mix of it... un-thinned it a bit... fixed the hi hats... they were atrocious! Added in some extra bass and acid lines There's a bit more to the sample too now.. still missing heaps of parts!

And the structure of the sample doesnt reflect the actual tune... there's a breakdown missing in the middle of that LOL!

your saying your missing lots....i think its pretty good as it is (needs a litle clean up and here and there) but all in all i think its GREAT

remember less is more...you dont want to overcorwd it too much. what you have now rocks...

just needs a breakdown, hands in the air moment and its ready for the record label

Yeah coming back to this one soon. I am working on 2 reworks at the moment to play in my sets.. when they're done I'll finish this one!
