NASA's Galaxy Evolution Explorer has been locked on a galaxy, exploding with bright knots of DJ stars and pulsating beats. The galaxy, which was created as Sublime plunged into the Sydney club circuit in 1996. 14 light-years on, we are celebrating the birth of the longest running weekly galaxy in the world.

The club kids were able to find this galaxy with the help of the Galaxy Evolution Explorer. Clusters of massive, young club kids emerge in the galaxy, and these club kids glow with ultraviolet light that we now call glow sticks and reflecting club wear. The young club kids tell scientists that a crucial ingredient for star formation is music, pulsating beats, melodies, vocals and dancing.

Sublime’s musical star-formation demonstrates that a strong lineup of DJs has been created for the quest we are going on tonight.

This quest is Sublime’s 14th Birthday!

Special performances by the Sublime Space Cadets (Rewind Bunny Squad) and much more!
